These sports and their rules and regulations are designed to take as many people with mental disabilities because of their disability and can measure accordingly with almost equally strong people. Special Olympics International was founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver and is based in Washington. From this headquarters of Special Olympics International coordinated the national associations.
